Inspired by “The Angel” Sculpture by Benjamin Victor, one of my favorite sculptures. I was sketching for reference at first, but added more detail where it felt right, and stopped adding where it felt as if it would be out of reach. Because that’s what angels usually are; out of reach, a little mysterious, where we could only focus and get tunnel vision as the edges blur.
